"One interest will prevail, one subject will swallow up every other - Christ Our Righteousness." SD, 259 Links of Interest Beacon Light Sermons
Too many Seventh-day Adventists, both young and old, leave the church because they have failed to gain victory over besetting sins. They pray and struggle for victory, often for decades, yet are still in bondage to willful sin. The emphasis in the church on the law, obedience, the Judgment, and the final fate of sinners has caused great anxiety. Some have wandered off after a false theology that claims that it is not consistent with the character of God to punish sinners, and others believe that we cannot stop sinning until Christ returns; and therefore many are being lulled to sleep with a sense of false security. To help the struggling ones who desperately seek victory in their lives, we must go further and give people hope that they, too, can obtain victory before probation closes. This series of articles by Elder Bill Lehman gives sinners that hope.
